the minty one....

Its been a bit of a gloomy day here today, with the wind and the rain and Nippy's walk this morning got cut short for this very reason, so I came home, dried off and got busy......and today's card is the result!

This super cute Bugaboo image is coloured with promarkers (one of which is my new Mint Green pen, which together with this craft paper is making me fancy a mint aero....but I will resist!!!) The paper is Papermania Lucy Cromwell, which I have been using a lot of late and I can see me having to get a second pad 'cos I love it, the fancy square is a Go Kreate die, the circular sentiment is one of my own creations, the flowers are cut using a woodware punch and have finished with button, card candy and some very small pearls.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
i love promarkers - anything goes
cupcake craft challenges - flowers
stampin sisters in christ - punches/dies
natalie and amy - anything goes, first challenge

Just want to also mention that we have a new challenge today at aud sentiments, so go cehck it out and have a peep at the fabby DT cards

and thats all from me for now xx

the one that was Kelly's wedding card

Hi all, hope you're having a good week so far. The last few days have been spent getting the last bits and bobs ready for Cameron, as he has his first day at secondary school tomorrow. We are all done now and pretty much ready to go.

So onto todays card, and this is the wedding card that I made for one of my "school mum" friends, using the super cutie image from Birdie Brown. Red and white was the colour scheme for the wedding, so this was the obvious choice. The sentiment was printed onto white card stock which was then partially embossed. The red gingham ribbon and the red gems came from my local haberdashery and the charm is from my stash, the wee flowers are made with a papermania 1cm punch. The bride and groom were delighted with the card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
crafty sentiments - lets sparkle
dis digi design - wedding, anniversary, engagement
i love promarkers - anything goes

before I finish, just wanted to share a proud mummy photo with you all - this is my gorgeous boy all dressed up and smart in his new uniform

and thats all from me for now!

The one with the snowman and the sketch....

Hope you are all having a geat Saturday. Well, my feet have barely touched the ground since yesterday. Went off to our local ski centre with Megan, Cameron and my step daughter and her Fiance for an afternoon of tobogganing......oh my goodness, it was sooo much fun - will add photos later!!! Then this morning we were up bright and early for a trip to Bluewater shopping centre. There is an event on there just now called Rollerfest, which is like a big roller skating disco, with other fairground stuff going on too.......things got very competative on the dodgem cars, but it was lost of fun. Feeling a bit pooped now, so am settling in for a lazy afternoon.

Anyway, onto my card. I'd planned to get on with a couple of Christmas cards whilst I am off work, it takes me a wee while to get motivated with these for some reason, but I found this
super sketch to use and that boosted the mojo:
I found this on willow sketchie challenge, and here is my take on it.

I've had this image saved on my pc for a wee while, im not certain, but im fairly sure that it is a Willow Designs image, have coloured with promarkers and added glossy accent to the carrot and holly to give a bit of depth. The papers i've had for a couple of years now, I think they were a Papermania Christmas stack, have added card candi, bakers twine and charm to own made sentiment.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
willow sketchie challenge - Christmas in August with sketch
crafty anns - Christmas in August #72
Winter Wonderland - red and green

and thats all from me for now xx

The one for my Friend.......

Oh my Goodness, its Friday! Where did that week go.......so pleased I've still got another week off!!

Well yesterday was a day of mixed emotions, I'd had my mum over and we had a lovely time crafting together, but in the morning I went to Megans school with her to collect the results from a GCSE history exam that she sat in May. The poor old bird was so disappointed with herself as she had got a "D" grade - now bearing in mind, that she is only 14 so she sat this paper two years ahead of schedule and she wont actually be sitting her actual GCSE's for another two years yet, I think she has done incredibly well and both the hubby and I, and our family, are all very proud of her!

Anyway, onto todays card and this is the card that I had made for the August Friendship Swap on Docrafts.

This adorable image is from Di's designs and is coloured with promarkers, the paper is from a me to you stack, the doily is from The Pretty Little Ribbon shop, the flowers area Joycraft die and the gingham ribbon and the blingy gems are from a local haberdashery.

The clean and simple one.........

Good Morning, hope all is well with you all! Had a dvd night, last night with the hubby and Megan and we watched a film called "p.s, I love you" - sweet film, but not as weepy as I expected it to be, but do have to say that Gerard Butler was very yummy in it

So for todays card, I've gone for full on, proper C&S.....I mean, I do generally lean in that direction, but as you can i've not just leaned that way, but actually toppled over and landed in a big puddle of C&S'ness!!!! Hope you like it anyway......

This very gorgeous dog is available as freebie digi from birds cards, and of course I am smitten with it as it is soooo much like a certain four legged fella not too far away from me! Have printed image and sentiment directly onto the card (font is tempus sans) He is coloured with promarkers, also used a c'bug border embossing folder just to add a bit of depth.

I made this card to enter the Simply Less is moore, feathers and fur challenge.

Have a lovely day xx

Tuesday 14 August 2012

the one with the green truck!

Good Morning all, not such a bright sunny morning here in Kent today, and I rather suspect that the downturn in the weather is due to the fact that I have two weeks holiday from next monday!!

Anyway, onto todays card and as i've not used this super cute H&S image for a wee while, it deserved an outing......

He is coloured with promarkers and his truck has a dollop of glossy accents to make it super shiny, the paper is a two peas in a bucket freebie download (sorry cant remember the name etc), the corrugated card was rescued from packaging at work and have cut with an x-cut star and a circular nestie, the sentiment is a creation by the lovely Pickle (thanks again Kerry) and the buttons and card candi are from my stash.
