Look who crawled out from underneath the pasting table!

Hello there, I do hope you're all well! It has been one busy week for me as I have been decorating Megan's bedroom so I do apologise that I've not visited any of your lovely blogs this week, I will try and catch up with you all as much as I can this week.

I have a card that I really wanted to share with you all, this was made for Megan as she got her results this week for the first two GSCE's she has taken (Maths and English language) and she only went and got A's for both!!! I had a big attack of the boohoo's, when she phoned to tell me!!!

Kept the card Clean and simple, the font is Tempus Sans, with washi tape, flower and candi from stash.

I would also like to enter this card into this weeks Less is More challenge as the theme is washi tape

Back in June, she asked the hubby if she did well in her exams could she have a goldfish.....odd request, but we have dually obliged, well we've got the tank, the fishies are too follow

And this is what we've done with her room, I would love to have "altered" this frame, but the simplicity of it does go well.
bed and "feature" wall paper, this was a Laura Ashley paper and a wee treat to paste and hang, such was the quality
 and her pc corner
Off to visit my parents soon, so I'll catch you all later.

Anything Goes with The Cutie Pies!

Hello and Welcome! So its the first Monday of my holiday at it was sooo nice not to be woken by the plinky plonky music of my alarm tone. Got a busy week planned though as we embark on decorating both of the kids bedrooms.
But first, its time to tell you about the next Cutie Pie challenge, and our theme is Anything Goes
The challenge is sponsored by our lovely friends at
who are offering a fab digi stamp prize, but you gotta be in it to win it!

Haven't made an easel card for a while, so I thought this would be that way to go for my DT card.
I've used one of the adorable images that we were given to play with, which is coloured with promarkers. I've used hobby house pearls to create an alice band too. The image is cut with a Go Kreate die. The papers are from Joy Craft "blooming rose" and the button, thimble charm and bakers twine are from stash.
I cant wait to see lots of wonderful creations for this challenge - to join in, and also check out the other gorgeous DT cards click here

2nd post of the day.....

Its me again! Managed to squeeze in a bit of an impromptu crafty time this afternoon, so I thought I'd just share with you, what I got up to......
Thoroughly enjoyed using this weeks Passion for Promarkers sketch on the previous card, so I thought I'd go back for another and use one of my favourite "go to" images, which of course, I've coloured with promarkers. Had used Go Kreate dies to mat and layer the image and the sentiment and then framed the image with Memory Box Savannah border die and woodware punched flowers. The butterfly die is from Marianne creatables and the papers were a freebie download from Zoe Pearn.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
passion for promarkers - sketch
stampin for the weekend - butterflys
aud sentiments - anything but a birthday sentiment
crafty sentiments - dies and punches

Off to bed soon, but i'll be back here with a new Cutie Pie challenge on Monday and hopefully a visit to your blogs tomorrow xx

Happy Saturday!

Good Morning all, hope the weekend has started well for you. So if the image on yesterdays card reflected me not worrying about the weather then todays image certainly reflects the relaxed feel that I think today will have!

Isn't this a sweetie of an image, it comes from hobby book and it was one of the digi's I chose as my prize from a blog challenge win. I have coloured her with the  promarkers and added crystal stickles to the bubbles! I do like to play around with my colour combo's, but I think I have wandered out of my comfort zone with these colours but these gorgeous Dovecraft papers are so yummy, I couldn't resist. The flowers are also from dovecraft and the buttons from my local haberdashery. The sentiment is cut with a memory box label die.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
passion for promakers - sketch
Lous sketch challenge 211
cute card thursday - button up

thanks for stopping by, have a lovely day xx

Brollies at the ready people........i'm on my hols!

Hello and thanks for stopping by today! Many thanks and hugs to you lovely lot for the comments you leave me......you always make me smile!

Anyway, big woohoo and a whoop from me as I am now off work for two weeks, and in typical my holiday style it was cold, wet and miserable this morning - now, I have been reliably informed that warm sunny weather is heading back our way, but either way I will have fun and enjoy this break, so I do liken myself to this wee bear on todays card.
This super cute image is from Crafty Sentiments and it was on magazine freebie cd that came out last year. It is a little treat to colour - have used the promarkers for this, with a dollop of glossy accents to make my raindrops and puddle come to life. The gingham paper is a freebie download from Bev Rochester's blog and the sentiment was added straight onto this - the font is tempus sans. I have used a Martha Stewart border punch and Memory Box fremont crest die. The pearls are from hobby house, the sticky ribbon is from hobbycraft and the brad from my stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
crafty sentiments - die cuts and punches
ready-teddy-go challenge - die cuts and punches
aud sentiments - anything but a birthday sentiment
word art wednesday - use an uplifting sentiment

That's about it from me at the mo, off to do some blog browsing now methinks xx

A step toward something different from me

Hello to you all, and thanks for popping in! Hope you're having a good week so far.......so I've one more day at work before my two week break and I really want to be on a bit of a wind down but its been sooo busy. Have had a couple of orders for cards that I've been working on over the last few days and this is one that I made for a friend at work for her grandson. She was actually quite moved when I gave it to her this morning.

She had asked me to make a card with a big no.1 and also feature a photo of her grandson.....after some head scratching on how to lay it out I decided to have another bash at a steppers, which I am still pretty novice with but I googled and found a super template that was actually made by one of my crafty friends teamies Julie - so huge thanks there! The no.1 was cut freehand (yikes!) and embossed with swiss dots folder, the font used on the card is comic sans and the die cut circles are a Nellie snellen die and the stars are an xcut due - the buttons are from my own stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
cute card thursday - button it
crafts and me - anything goes
bearly mine - anything goes
cuttlebug mania - anything goes, with embossing
joanna sheen challenge - embossing

So that's all from me for now, Im just off to throw some jacket potatoes in the oven for dinner and then i'll be back to have a looksee at the gorgeous cards im seeing in my dashboard!

Thank Goodness its Friday!

Hello there and thank you for popping in for a visit today.......well I for one am very happy that its Friday afternoon! I have one more week at work and then two weeks off.....woohoo, I am so ready for a break!

Not too much planned for the weekend yet, other than shopping, catching up on the housework and hopefully a bit of crafting time.

Todays card had been a work in progress for a few weeks now, as this gorgeous Tilda image fell out of one of my birthday cards and I couldn't wait to colour it.....and then it sat in a box for weeks, then I had the idea of this frame, so I sat with a great deal of concentration one afternoon and glued these wee little ribbon flower thingys onto a die cut frame. It wasn't until last Saturday that I actually got around to putting it all together!
Tilda is coloured with the promarkers, with a touch of white sakura gel pen to highlight the rolling pin. The Yellow papers is from Dovecraft Garden Party, which I picked up for just £3 in wilkos and all of the papers are delish - really bright and pretty! The other paper is an oldie from my stash. The gorgeous border die is from Cheery Lynn. The ribbon flowers came in a bag of bits and bobs that my Mum gave to me as she wasn't keen on them and they are glued on to a Nellie Snellen doily frame. The sentiment is one of the lovely Netty's freebies. The ribbon, pearls and slider are from the stash.

I've got a lovely friend in mind to send this card too.

Third post of the week!

Its me again.......with my third post of the week and its only Wednesday, do hope you're not getting fed up with me yet.

Todays card is one of the "makes" from the weekend when my Mum came over for a crafty afternoon. Of course, its always fun to have someone else to chat and craft with at times, but as she is my mum she is also duty bound to let me raid her stash and "borrow" a few bits here and there!!! That's exactly what I did here with this border piece that I fed the ribbon through, the ribbon is from my local haberdashery and has the most gorgeous pattern running through it. The papers are from Glitz and Fizzy Moon and this super cute elephant is coloured with the lovely promarkers. The sentiment is from craftwork and the flowers are from dovecraft with hobbyhouse pearls in the centre of the buttons.
I would like to enter this into these challenges:

Before I go, I just wanted to share this photo with you, of my gorgeous daughter Megan, and it was taken as she was getting her hair done for the recent wedding. She will be 16 next month and I'm so proud of the lovely young lady she is growing up to be.

That's all from me for tonight, gonna have a quick browse at a few blogs then off to bed.......bye for now and thanks for stopping by xx

Thinking of you Diane.

Hi to you all, and thank you for popping in. I'd like to welcome my newest follower, Sarah, who is also one of our lovely new cutie pie teamies too - but not only that, but that's me now at 200 followers! Thank you all so much.......I might have to organise some candy to celebrate!

Anyway, onto todays card and this is one that I actually made a couple of weeks ago as one of my DT cards for the Crafty Friends challenge - however, due to our lovely leader Diane having some health problems at the moment, this challenge has closed for the time being. I decided to go ahead and blog this card, and say that my thoughts and prayers are still with Diane.

I have coloured the adorable PB hedgie with promarkers and added hobbyhouse pearls to the flowers. I also used a joycraft flower die and added card candi, the paper is from Bearly Mine designs and I added some sticky backed lace to finish.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
