an injection of colour on a grey Sunday!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by, hope you're having a great weekend. Its been a grotty, grey, wet day here, although I didn't just about manage to get the dogs out for a run this morning.....then settled down with a cooked breakfast and watched a bit of "Little House on the Prairie".....its a bit of an old favourite of mine and I am working through a box set.

Washing the kitchen floor got ditched in favour of some much needed craft time....and this is the result
I have used the ever so sweet Wee Suzi from Wee stamps, and coloured her with Promarkers. I think the paper is from Dovecraft Garden Party stack, the flowers came from Mulberry Crafts, the Pearls and the button are from Hobby House, the sentiment is a Woodware stamp and the twine is from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
hobby house challenge - ribbons
passion for promarkers - ribbon, lace or twine
stampin for the weekend - happy birthday
my sheri crafts - use a digi
aud sentiments - any sentiment
cute card thursday - so sweet
crafting for all seasons - for the girls

So enjoy the rest of the weekend my friends, Megan has been badgering me to go through a couple of 6th form prospectus' with her, so Mummy duties call, but will be back later xx

When its OK to have the blues in January!

Hello there my lovely blog friends, hope you're having a good week so far......don't know if any of you are Coronation Street fans, but how sad was last nights episode! Some great acting, so moving! Anyway, I actually wanted to tell you all about the new Cutie Pie challenge, our theme this time is
JANUARY BLUES!

We are lucky enough to have  two wonderful sponsors for this challenge:

For my own DT card I used the adorable LAYLA image from Just Some Lines, she is coloured with promarkers, and is seated on a Go Kreate fancy square die cut, I also used a Marianne Creatables Butterfly die and Joycraft flowers, the paper is from a papermania stack, pearls from stash.

Busy doing nothing....I wish!

Hello there and thank you for stopping by, hope your week is going well so far. So my plan to do a lot more blogging this year isn't going quite as well as planned.....I was fine last week when my hubby was away in Scotland but since he came home, he has been under my feet, so things have gone to pot a bit....but I will try!
I do have a card to share with you anyway. So a few days ago I was doing some colouring and in the background was playing an Olly Murs song about being busy doing nothing, and I kind of thought it suited this image and from that thought, this sentiment evolved!
The stamp is a proper oldie from Art Impressions (had it for ages, so I thought it deserved a run out!), have coloured this with the promarkers. The DP is a Zoe Pearn freebie and I changed the colour tone, using serif page plus. The gorgeous die cut is Fairytale Flower border from memory box, with a little addition of liquid pearls. This was cut from a gorgeous ivory pearlescent card from Payper box which matched the card candi really well. The sentiment is my own creation!

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
aud sentiments - any sentiment
moving along with the times - girly cards
word art wednesday - anything goes (must be uplifting)
crafty sentiments - anything goes

So glad that its Friday tomorrow.....will catch up with you all over the weekend xx

Feeling a bit Krafty!

Hello, and thanks for stopping by! Hope you've had a good weekend! It has been a bit of an up and down one for me......yesterday our gorgeous Hugo left us to go and live with his "forever family". I had actually had a few teary moments during the week, but I held it together and was ever so pleased when they text me this morning to say that he had been really good during the night and was settling in well so far. Other than that I've been feeling a little rough with an earache all weekend too, I'm hoping that my drops start to take effect soon!
So, this is a card that I had made on Friday, but this is the first chance I've had to blog it.....
This adorable image is coloured with the promarkers. The flowery paper is from a Bo Bunny stack and I thought it sits really well against the kraft. I seem to recall having a pinafore in a similar print when I was a little girl!!The frame die is from Sizzix, and was a Christmas pressie. The sentiment was designed by a lovely fellow blogger Kerry (Pickle) and the flowers and buttons are from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
crafty little fairies - Kraft
the squirrel and the fox - show us your new stuff (sizzix die is new)
natalie and amy - one for the girlies

just off to bed soon, so will catch you all tomorrow, sending hugs xx

"Watering The Flowers"!

Hello to you and thanks for popping in, hope your Thursday is going well. With some much grey, wet and gloomy weather at the moment, I felt that I needed to bring a bit of springtime to my blog today....and what better image could I use!
This is LOTV's Watering the Flowers (and was donated by a lovely friend of mine!) and is coloured with Promarkers and cut with a lacy circle spellbinders die, the dotty paper comes from a Fizzy Moon stack, have added a section of white cardstock cut with an Xcut border punch and added pink gingham washi tape, buttons and twine from stash.

I would like to enter this into these challenges:
i love promarkers - add a bow (hope that my twine bow is acceptable)
pennys challenges - anything goes
abc-challenge - C for Colourful
LOTV Monthly challenge - anything goes

Off to have a bit of a tidy up now......the hubby has been away in Scotland staying with his daughter this week, and I've made the most of having my craft stash all over the dining table but now I've got to put everything back on my very much smaller desk before the eye rolling starts and I get "that look"!!!!

Lets snuggle up with a good book!

Hello there and thank you for stopping by! Hope you've had a good Tuesday.....back to work today, grrrr, roll on the weekend!

I have another card to share with you from yesterday's "crafternoon"
I was lucky enough to receive a few craft goodies for Christmas and amongst these was a LOTV sketch pad (Just for Girls) and Docrafts "Tilly Daydream" paper stack, both of which I've used on today's card. The image is coloured with promarkers, I decided to keep to a fairly simple design and added pearls from my Hobbyhouse, ribbon from Asda (of all places!) and a Cheery Lynn border die. I know a lot of you have used these sketch pads, if you haven't then they are really worth a try......super cute images and they are printed onto a lovely smooth card that takes the likes of a promarker pen really well.
I would like to enter this into these challenges:
LOTV monthly challenge - anything goes
the paper nest dolls - anything goes
crafting from the heart - anything goes, with pearls or buttons
a gem of a challenge - something new papers and image
natalie and amy - one for the girlies

thanks again for your visit - keep warm, dry and safe all!

Monday 6 January 2014

when you get some new goodies, you just gotta try them!

Hello, me again! So I hope you've all had a good day, I had a day off work today which has been lovely, I had to run my dad to the Dr's this morning, but had a blissful afternoon of crafting. Today's card was actually made last night, but had to wait for the stickles to dry before I took a photo ( I have a tendency to drop stuff, lol). I was lucky enough to receive some wonderful goodies with a Christmas  card from one of my lovely craft friends, amongst which was this adorable PB image and the lovely swirly wirly that I've used here. I have used the promarkers to colour this together with the aforementioned stickles, the flowers are a Joycraft die and the buttons are from my stash. Not too sure what the brand of paper this is, shame 'cos its so pretty!
Not entered any challenges yet this year, so its about time I did something about that:
glitter n sparkle - anything goes
the squirrel and the fox - anything goes
penny black saturday challenge - New (image and swirly)

Before I go just wanted to share something else with you.....something that I spotted on a shelf in Morrisons booze aisle at the weekend

We've now got our own official drink!!!!

My Four Legged News and Some very Cute Candy.........

Well, I'd better start this post with an apology, I have been such a bad blogger for the last few weeks, what with Christmas, family staying with us over the New Year, doing a makeover of the Cutie Pie challenge blog and a certain four legged member of my family that many of you will know about.

In fact I will start with that bit of news, so the puppy is now 7 weeks old, and is just the most adorable thing that has ever chewed on my slippers and peed on my kitchen floor and we are having so much fun with him. However, we have had to let our heads rule our hearts on this one as we don't have the largest of  houses and with two dogs already that will (hopefully) go for another ten years, we set about finding a new home for the puppy. After a couple of time-wasters, we had an email, and then a meeting with the most lovely couple who both fell in love with the puppy from the moment they saw him and he will be leaving us next Saturday. Yes, we are all terribly sad about it now, but know its for the best in the long run.....so, before I start sobbing like an idiot (and not for the first time!!!) I have a couple more photo's to share with you, of the wonderful, gorgeous and now re-named HUGO

Anyway, if that isn't enough Cute Stuff already, The Cutie Pie's are back again, but as we are having a post-Christmas rest, we have some New Year Candy up for grabs instead....
Yep, this bundle of goodies, could be yours, all you have to do is click
here and enter.
As I said, we have had a bit of a makeover, so we'd love to hear what you think of it too.

Anyway, so I will attempt to be a better blogger in 2014, I will try and visit you lovely folk more often and I may even actually get around to posting a few cards too xx
